  • ⅛ teaspoon of ground white pepper

How to Make Blackened Chicken

  1. First of all, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease the baking sheet. Heat a cast iron skillet over the high heat for 5-6 minutes until it is smoking hot.
  2. And then Mix together the salt, paprika, cayenne, thyme, white pepper, cumin, and onion powder. Now oil the chicken breasts with the cooking spray on both of the sides, and then coat the chicken breasts evenly with the mixture of spices.
  3. After that, place the chicken in the hot pan, and cook for 1-2 minute. And then turn, and cook 1-2 minute on the other side. Now place the breasts on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. In the end, bake in the preheated oven until it no longer pink color in the center and the juices run clear, about 5-6 minutes.
