This is a very easy and quick main dish. Everybody would love this roll. I usually try to serve it with the new potatoes, green beans, corn, and corn bread. At home, we eat over half of the pan every time. So, without wasting any time, let’s start making it.

Ingredients for making Cabbage Roll

  • 2 pounds of ground beef
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 1 small head of chopped cabbage
  • 2 (14.5 ounce) cans of diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can of tomato sauce
  • ½ cup of water
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper

How to Make Cabbage Roll

  1. First of all heat the Dutch oven or large skillet over the medium-high heat. Cook & stir the beef and onion in the hot Dutch oven until crumbly and browned in color for 5-7 minutes; drain & discard grease.
  2. And then add tomatoes, cabbage, water, garlic, salt, tomato sauce, and pepper and bring to the boil. Cover the Dutch oven, reduce the heat, and simmer until the cabbage is tender, about 30-35 minutes.
