Creamy Cheddar Cheese Soup

Hello friends, welcome to Smooth Recipe. Today we are going to make Creamy Cheddar Cheese Soup.

This creamy cheese soup is very delicious and warm on a cold winter day. Anybody from younger to older would love to have this in their menu.

Lebanese Style Red Lentil Soup

Ingredients for Creamy Cheddar Cheese Soup

  • ¼ cup of butter
  • 1 chopped onion
  • ¼ cup of all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups of chicken broth
  • 3 cups of milk
  • 1 pound of shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions for Making Creamy Cheddar Cheese Soup

  1. First of all, in a 3 quart of saucepan over medium-high heat flame, melt butter or margarine. Add onion and cook until it tender, about 4-5 minutes. Stir in flour & cook until the flour has blended with mixture of onion.
  2. Now add chicken broth & cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture is slightly thickened. Add milk & heat just to boiling, stirring it constantly.
  3. Now in covered blender at medium speed, blend about 1/4th of soup mixture at a time until it smooth. And then return to saucepan and, over the medium heat, heat just to boiling. Remove it from heat.
  4. In the end, with slotted spoon or wire whisk, stir in the cheese until melted. If cheese does not melt completely, then cook over very low heat about 1-2 minute, stirring it constantly.
