This is one of the incredible taco dishes. You can serve this fish taco with homemade pico de gallo, and lime wedges to squeeze on top!

Shredded Chicken Tacos

Ingredients for Making Fish Tacos

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of beer
  • ½ cup of plain yogurt
  • ½ cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • One jalapeno of minced pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of minced capers
  • ½ teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon of dried dill weed
  • 1 quart of oil for frying
  • One pound of cod fillets, cut into 2 to 3 ounce portions
  • 1 (12 ounce) package of corn tortillas
  • ½ medium head cabbage, finely shredded

How to Make Fish Tacos

To Make Beer Batter

  1. First of all, in a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cornstarch, and salt. Blend egg and beer, and then quickly stir into the flour mixture (do not worry about a few lumps).

To Make White Sauce

  1. First of all, in a medium bowl, mix yogurt and mayonnaise together. Gradually stir in fresh lime juice until the consistency is slightly runny. Season with capers, cumin, oregano, dill, jalapeno, and cayenne.
  2. Now heat oil in deep-fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  3. In the end, dust fish pieces lightly with the flour. Dip into the beer batter, and fry until it crisp and golden brown in color. And then drain on paper towels. Start lightly fry tortillas; not too crisp. For serve, place fried fish in a tortilla, and top with the shredded cabbage, and white sauce.
