Glazed Prune Cake Recipe

A moist, easy to make delicious cake with a perfect combination of allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg and other delicious ingredients. So, let’s start making it.
Ingredients for Glazed Prune Cake
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1-1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1-1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup of canola oil
- 2/3 cup of prunes
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of allspice
- 2/3 cup of milk
- 2/3 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans
Ingredients for Glaze Prune Cake
- 2/3 cup of powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 tablespoon of honey or agave
- 1 teaspoon of butter or margarine
- Dash of baking soda
- Dash of salt
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla
How to Make Glazed Prune Cake
- Preheat oven to the 350 F.
- Spray a tube or Bundt pan with the cooking spray.
- Mix eggs, sugar, and oil until they become creamy.
- Now, in a separate bowl, combine salt, flour soda, allspice and cinnamon and mix them well.
- After that alternately mix small amounts of the flour mixture & milk to the egg mixture and sugar.
- Fold the prunes and nuts into the mixture.
- Now pour the mixture into the cake pan & bake approximately 60-65 minutes at 350 F.
- Now cool it before adding the glaze.
Directions for Glaze Prune Cake
- Mix the powdered sugar, honey, milk, butter, salt and baking soda in a saucepan.
- Heat on medium flame, stirring them frequently, until it comes to full boil. Now, turn the heat down to low for 5-6 minutes.
- Now remove from heat & add vanilla and stir it well.
- And then drizzle over the cake.
