Ingredients for Japanese Soup with Tofu and Mushrooms

  • 3 cups of prepared dashi stock
  • ¼ cup of sliced shiitake mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon of miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • ⅛ cup cubed of soft tofu
  • 1 chopped green onion

How to Make Japanese Soup with Tofu and Mushrooms

First of all, in a medium saucepan, bring the stock to a boil and reduce the heat to simmer.

Now add mushrooms, and cook it for 3 minutes. And then in a small bowl, mix the soy sauce and miso paste together.

Now stir into stock along with tofu. Simmer for 4-5 minutes, and serve the soup topped with green onion.
