One Pot Pasta

Hello friends, welcome to Smooth Recipe. Today we are going to make One Pot Pasta.

This is a quick, easy, and one of my family’s favorites. Note: You must use a nonstick pan to keep it from the sticking.

Ingredients for One Pot Pasta

  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • ½ cup of sliced onion
  • 1 cup of fresh sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 teaspoons of dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of white sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 (29 ounce) can of diced tomatoes
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 8 ounces of macaroni
  • 1 (8 ounce) can of tomato sauce

Directions for making One Pot Pasta

  1. First of all, spray a large nonstick skillet with the nonstick cooking spray. Add oil, and heat over the medium flame. Add onion and mushrooms. Cook, stirring it frequently, for 3- 5 minutes, until it tender.
  2. After that, add tomatoes, water, sugar, tomato sauce, and spices to skillet. When the mixture begins to boil, stir in the pasta. Cover and reduce the heat to medium-low, and cook for 18-20 minutes. Stir the mixture every 4- 5 minutes while cooking.
