Pumpkin Cake Recipe
Hello Friends, Welcome to Smooth Recipe. Today, we are going to make Pumpkin Cake.
This cake is one on perfectly rich, spiced and moist pumpkin cake which is topped with very luxuriously creamy and tasty tangy cream cheese frosting.
This is simply one of the best cakes I have ever made. So, without wasting any time, let’s start making it.
Ingredients for Pumpkin Cake
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 cups of sugar
- 3 beaten eggs
- 2-1/2 cups of canned pumpkin
- 1 cup of canola oil
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
- Dash of salt
Ingredients for Frosting
- 8 ounces of cream cheese
- 1/2 cup of butter or margarine
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons of clear vanilla or almond extract
How to Make Pumpkin Cake
- Preheat oven to the 350 F.
- Spray two 9-inches round cake pans with the cooking spray.
- Combine eggs with the sugar and beat until it become creamy.
- Now add oil and mix well.
- After that, in a separate bowl, combine baking powder, flour, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and salt. Mix them well and add to egg mixture and sugar.
- Now add pumpkin and blend it well.
- Now pour the batter into the cake pan & bake for approximately 50-55 minutes or when a toothpick comes out clean while checking.
- After that cool before frosting.
Directions for Frosting
- Blend all the ingredients properly until it become creamy.
- Frost the cake when it cools.
- You can add decorations for a seasonal cake.
