  • 1 ½ teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground allspice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • One large green bell pepper, cut into large chunks
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon of ground cardamom
  • 2 onions, cut into large chunks
  • 1 cup of chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

How to Make Shish Tawook Grilled Chicken

  1. First of all, whisk together the vegetable oil, lemon juice, plain yogurt, tomato paste, garlic, salt, oregano, allspice, cinnamon, pepper, and cardamom in the large bowl; add chicken and toss to coat. And then transfer the chicken mixture into the large plastic bag; refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
