Spaghetti Bolognese

Ingredients for Spag Bol

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 large sliced onions
  • 3 chopped cloves garlic
  • 1 chopped red bell pepper
  • 2 pounds of lean ground beef
  • 1 cup beef of broth
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans of peeled and diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1 cup of red wine
  • 1 (6 ounce) can of tomato paste
  • One chopped stalk celery
  • 2 bay of leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning

How to Make Spag Bol

  1. First of all, heat olive oil in the large skillet over the medium heat. Saute onions & garlic until the onions are tender. Stir in the red bell pepper and saute for about 2 minutes.
  2. Now place the ground beef in the skillet & cook over the medium high heat until it evenly brown in color. Stir in diced tomatoes, beef broth, wine and in the tomato paste. Bring to the boil and add bay leaves, celery, and Italian seasoning.
  3. In the end, reduce the heat and simmer for about 1 hour, or until the sauce thickens.
