Spinach Smoothie

Welcome to Smooth Recipe. Today we are going to make Spinach Smoothie.

This is a classic spinach smoothie. I find this smoothie a super easy way to get in a lot of the vegetable and fruit servings.

Ingredients for Spinach Smoothie

  • 1 cup of yogurt
  • 1 banana, broken into chunks
  • ½ cup of frozen blueberries
  • 4 cups of fresh spinach
  • 1 tablespoon of water, or as per your desired (Optional)
  • 2 ice cubes, or as per your desired (Optional)

How to Make Spinach Smoothie

  1. Layer of yogurt, banana, and blueberries in the blender, respectively. Add as much spinach to the blender that will fit; pour in the water.
  2. Blend on the high speed until it become smooth, adding the remaining spinach if you needed. Add ice for the colder and thicker smoothie. You can add more water for a thinner smoothie, if you wish.

Chef’s Notes

  1. I have tried the frozen spinach – it adds an odd taste – but this is cheaper and more convenient – so if you do not notice the odd tastes, you go for it.
  2. Frozen fruits are just as good as the fresh fruits – and store longer. Frozen bananas are also great in taste as fresh ones! Additional fresh fruit can also be added, if you desired.
