Hello friends, welcome to Smooth recipe. Today we are going to make Strawberry Chocolate Mousse Cake.

A mousse with the fresh strawberries and chocolate mousse make an awesome treat. A mousse cake which is one of the best mousse of my family.

Ingredients for making Strawberry Chocolate Mousse Cake

  • 1 cup of chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of light corn syrup
  • Two pints of halved fresh strawberries
  • 2 ½ cups of divided heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon of white sugar

How to Make Strawberry Chocolate Mousse Cake

  1. First of all, in a bowl, mix the crumbs & butter to blend thoroughly. Press evenly onto the bottom of 9-inch of spring form pan. Arrange the strawberry halves around the fry pan side-by-side, pointed ends it up, with cut the sides against the side of pan; and set aside.
  2. Now place the chocolate chips into blender container. Pour the water and corn syrup into the small saucepan. And then bring to the boil and simmer for 1-2 minute. And then immediately pour over the chocolate chips & blend until it smooth. Pour them into a mixing bowl & cool to the room temperature.
  3. While the chocolate cools down, whip the 1 1/2 cups of the cream to form the stiff peaks. Use the rubber spatula or large whisk to fold the 1/3 of whipped cream into the cooled chocolate to lighten it.
  4. And then gently fold in the remaining whipped cream until the mixture is thoroughly blended. Transfer mousse into the prepared pan & smooth the top. The points of the strawberries may extend about the chocolate mixture. Cover with the plastic wrap and refrigerate for the 4 hours to 24 hours.
  5. In the end, up to 2 hours before the serving, in the medium mixing bowl, beat the remaining 1/2 cup of the cream to form the soft peaks. Add the sugar. Beat to form the stiff peaks. Remove the side of spring form pan & place cake on a serving plate. Pipe or dollop the whipped cream onto the top of cake. Arrange the remaining halved strawberries on the whipped cream. To serve, cut into the wedges with the thin knife, wiping the blade between cuts.
