Ingredients for Making Vegan Bean Taco Filling

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 cloves chopped minced garlic
  • 1 bell chopped chopped pepper
  • 2 (14.5 ounce) cans chopped black beans, rinsed, drained, and mashed
  • 2 tablespoons chopped yellow cornmeal
  • 1 ½ tablespoons chopped cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chopped paprika
  • One teaspoon chopped cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chopped chili powder
  • 1 cup chopped salsa

How to Make Vegan Bean Taco Filling

  1. First of all, heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over the medium heat. And then stir in garlic, onion, and bell pepper; cook until it tender.
  2. Now stir in mashed beans. Add cornmeal. Mix in paprika, cumin, chili powder, cayenne, and salsa. Cover, and cook 4-5 minutes.
